12 June
The sky is a deep grey. Like the universe has thrown a heavy blanket over us and wants us to stay still a while. It’s a uniform grey — unwavering in its greyness. Like it’s been plucked from Paint or Canva.
The sun is behind there somewhere. But it’s hard to visualise to be honest. Our hard-footedness on the planet means there could be over 50 rainy days this summer. The UK is as indecisive as I feel right now. Decisional paralysis running through its veins: sun one minute, rain the next. Sun. Rain. Sun. Rain.
Getting dressed is impossible.
The climate is screaming for our help. That’s why it’s good to lie on the earth. Tell her we’re listening. We care. We will pick up litter on our next walk.
Being kind is really simple. And it’s addictive. Gratitude follows.
I hope you make the most wonderful cup of tea for yourself today.
